I've been on Etsy looking at a style of jewelry called steampunk, and I was wondering if there's somewhere on the internet that sells broken watches that I could use for pieces.
What do the following engravings on a vintage watch mean?
I have a 1940 Benrus military watch that I'm trying to obtain information on.What do the markings " Fifteen 15 Jewels" and " Four 4 ADJ." mean? I see that this is a very common marking in watches and I'm curious to find their meanings. Also, Does anyone out there know how to take apart an automatic wind up watch? I've got it taken out of the casing, but can't figure out what's wrong.Thanks
Ok, I bought a vintage watch with a yellow age stain on the dial, is it possible to remove the stain?

I have a watch that belonged to my grandmother. The face of the watch says " ODINA 17 Jewels" , " Swiss" the back is stamped " 14k" . It is a dainty vintage women's watch. I can not find a thing about this watch or anything even close to it. Any help is greatly appreciated. One more thing... I don't know if it's relavent, but my grandmother came to the U.S. from Italy.
