Question: What does "vintage jewelry mean?

I want to buy a vintage bracelet off line but don't know what that means in jewelry. I know what it mean in reference to wine, but not anything else (such as clothing and jewelry). any and all help would be nice thanks :)

OOOhhhhh. It's wonderful stuff! Vintage is generally 50 years old or less. There is some wonderful mid-century stuff out there. Lots of rhinestones, bright enamels, tri colored metals, loaded jangly charm bracelets. Try this: look up rubylane.com and check out some of their vintage stuff. It's like eye candy (for me, at least). Any of the antique malls that you might find around town will have nice vintage. I think you should look on rubylane just to see their prices. Some of the signed pieces are plenty pricey. But you can find wonderful things that are reasonable. Have fun ... but be warned, it can be habit forming!

Vintage , in terms of apparel and jewelery , means that the style of it is based off of the fashionable styles of another era ;; usually styles from between 1920 and 1980 are considered to be vintage.
